The Center for Brain Research in Development, Genetics, and Engineering (BRIDGE) is a translational neuroscience center focused on basic and translational mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders that synergizes with ongoing efforts at CHOP in genetics, genomics, cell and gene therapy, and neuroengineering.
The BRIDGE Center is focused on normal brain development and mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders to link causal genes to phenotype, identify disease targets, generate advanced model systems, and develop and pilot novel therapeutics in preclinical systems. Our ultimate goal is the translation of such insights via implementation of therapeutics in patients. The Center’s work currently concentrates on:
The BRIDGE Center will occupy a customized space designed to enhance collaboration, boost synergy, and maximize efficiency in the Morgan Center for Research and Innovation, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025.
Our center includes established faculty who each run well-funded laboratories composed of talented trainees and expert staff. Learn more about our team's work by visiting their laboratory pages.
