The mission of the Center for Outcomes REsearch in Surgery (CORES) is to improve outcomes of children with surgical conditions by generating new knowledge and applying that knowledge back into clinical care at CHOP.
CORES was established to strengthen patient-centered outcomes research throughout the Department of Surgery. CORES supports a wide breadth of clinical investigation including clinical trials, comparative effectiveness research, and implementation science. The Center partners with existing Centers such as Clinical Futures and the Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics that are aligned with the mission and objectives of CORES.
