Vitamin D

You are invited to take part in a voluntary research trial because you have a genetic defect in vitamin D metabolism that causes elevated blood and/or urine levels of calcium and you are between the ages of 6 months and 65 years.

The Roizen Lab aims to understand non-calciometabolic vitamin D effects and to use this understanding to design new therapies for common diseases like sarcopenia and obesity.

Dr. Roizen's research program aims to understand non-calciometabolic effects of vitamin D and to use this understanding to design new therapeutic approaches to common diseases such as sarcopenia and obesity.
