For investigators looking for a lab as a postdoc, to complete their thesis, rotation, or to gain research experience, whether their expertise is in genetics, molecular biology, or working with animal models for injury/disease, the Song Lab provides a home to learn, work, share, and build together.
Upon joining the Song Lab, researchers set goals and map out suitable projects within the lab's general themes: neural development, maintenance, and function. Lab members can choose from a number of projects already in the works, test their own ideas, or develop new directions. Mentoring style is individualized, too, as researchers choose a more hands on or independent approach.
Our team's accomplishments lead to the success of the lab! If you are interested in joining us, please email Dr. Song.
Meet the Song Lab alumni.
Researcher
Dr. Song works to elucidate the cellular and molecular basis governing the formation, maintenance, and function of neural circuits under physiological and pathological conditions, using both Drosophila and mammalian models.
