Medical Education

The Designing for Equity in Medical Education project uses education design-based research to co-create and test more equitable assessment systems in five pediatric residency programs across the United States.

Dr. Jaffe's research interests focus on quality improvement and patient safety. She is working on several projects, including efforts to improve documentation and adherence to evidence-based guidelines for care.

Dr. West works to develop educational innovations to advance the skills of health professionals in ways that improve clinical effectiveness and patient safety. He has a particular interest in linking competency-based education outcomes to outcomes that patients and health systems value.

Dr House is an Emergency Department attending with a dual interest in medical education and ED operations and flow. She works with a team to improve throughput in teams of the ED and reduce patient wait times. She also is the director of the Emergency Medicine lecture series.
