Bio

Ritika Kommareddi is a clinical research assistant for several studies pertaining to early identification of autism at the Center for Autism Research (CAR). These studies range from biological (i.e., saliva, blood) to behavioral tests.

Kommareddi graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Theatre Arts and Studies. She performed research on gestural imitation in autism with the Kennedy Krieger Institute, which is also where she found her interest in autism research.

In her free time, Kommareddi volunteered at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, was an Emergency Medical Technician, and performed in theatre and music. She plans to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a research focus in pediatric psychology, autism, and South Asian mental health.
