Leads and evolves the technology and support services provided by Research Information Services to the Research Institute.
John Knab has more than 30 years of experience in enterprise technology and information services management. He has held various global leadership roles in corporate IS and Client Consulting organizations and has extensive client consulting and consulting practice experience spanning the private and public sectors. His core competencies include IT Services Management, program and portfolio management, customer relationship management, knowledge management, organizational change management, enterprise architecture, and application development.
Knab joined Research IS in 2017. Since 2019 he has overseen the Research IS team and service portfolio, which includes desktop/device services, infrastructure/cloud services, web services, application services, and data analytics services supporting faculty, staff, and Research Administration. John also coordinates and collaborates with Enterprise Information Services to ensure that enterprise-class technology services (e.g. networking, data center, help desk, etc.) continue to support the Research Institute’s strategy and needs.
