Research has shown that 80% of children with autism experience some type of sleep disturbance such as trouble falling or staying asleep. The goal of this research project is to determine whether a virtual yoga intervention improves sleep quality for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Visit Criteria

Yoga sessions will be given by a certified yoga instructor on Monday-Thursday via video teleconference platform for 6 weeks. The yoga sessions will be at 8:00pm for 30 minutes. Participants are required to attend at least 12 out of 24 yoga sessions. Parents/guardians of participants will fill out survey based assessments at the beginning and end of the study via email to assess sleep quality and experiences with the sessions.
