In the first of our new Lab Life video series, learn about ongoing work by researchers in the lab of Dr. Stefano Rivella, an investigator in the Division of Hematology at CHOP. Through a variety of novel technologies, Dr. Rivella and his team aim to treat and cure red blood cell disorders like sickle cell disease (SCD) and beta thalassemia, as current treatments for these disorders are largely limited to supportive care.
