We are looking for girls who have a current or past diagnosis of anorexia nervosa and one parent to participate in a study to help us understand how microorganisms in the gut may change during treatment for anorexia nervosa.
This Shifting Perspectives study explores whether we can improve treatment outcomes in teens with anorexia nervosa by adding Adolescent Focused Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT) to Family Based Treatment (FBT). CRT focuses on improving cognitive and behavioral flexibility in adolescents.

Dr. Timko is a psychologist and researcher focused on understanding the development and maintenance of eating disorders in adolescents. Currently, her interest is in the neurobiology of anorexia, the role of neurocognition in eating disorder maintenance, sex differences in eating disorders, and the development of new treatments for youth with eating disorders.
