Karen Burke leads the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) and works closely with other relevant offices in the Research Institute to develop, maintain, and enhance the integrity of the program. The ORC team performs quality assurance reviews and dedicated monitoring for ongoing research studies at CHOP, serves as the institution’s clinicaltrials.gov account administrator, and manages the Research Institute’s policy and procedure documentation program. Burke also oversees the export control management program at CHOP, supports researchers working with controlled substances, and provides dedicated training to research teams and investigators.
