James Purswani, BS, works with Susan Back, MD, as a program coordinator in the Center for Pediatric Contrast Ultrasound (CPCU) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He supports the research and educational needs for the CPCU and also manages the department’s Works-In-Progress studies in collaboration with industry partners.

Purswani earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Temple University, then worked for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, focusing on viral hepatitis surveillance and COVID-19 tracing. He gained a vast interest in clinical research administration and has worked on trials involving infectious diseases, neonatology, medical devices, and respiratory illnesses, both at CHOP and the contract research organization space.
