Benny Pin-Wei Chen, PhD, is a data scientist from Data Science and Biostatistics Unit in the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics. His background is in context detection using actigraphy and physiological measures recording with wearable sensors. He received a BA in molecular and cell biology, a master’s in psychology, and a PhD in rehabilitation medicine. His research focuses on utilizing machine learning and data science methods in healthcare, specifically from ubiquitous sensing.
