The CHOP Postdoc Alliance (CPA) is pleased to re-introduce Lunch & Learn! Join Dr. Arwa Abbas to learn about human microbiome research!

This program is aimed at scientists from all backgrounds who are interested in learning more about human microbiome research and the importance of metadata standardization. Participants will also have an opportunity to improve current community standards. The format of this two-part session will be as follows:

Part 1:
Introduction to human microbiome research, metadata standards, and a personal example of public data mining.
Part 2:
Explore and provide feedback on the human gut metadata template developed by the National Microbiome Data Collaborative. This will be done via small breakout sessions followed by a large group discussion.

Refreshments will be provided and everyone who contributes to the small-group session will have a chance to win 1 of 10 Giant Microbes plush toys!

This event is co-sponsored by the CHOP Postdoctoral Alliance and the National Microbiome Data Collaborative.
