Shareable Clinical Decision Support: The Now and the Future

Speaker:

Jeremy J. Michel, MD, MHS

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine

Investigator, CHOP Healthy Weight Program

Dr. Michel is board certified in pediatrics and informatics, practicing clinically at CHOP's Karabots Care Center Primary Care site. He completed an NLM-sponsored fellowship in clinical informatics at Yale University where he specialized in informatics to support translation of guidelines into clinical practice and quality measures.

As the Medical Director for the ECRI Guidelines Trust he supports the development of a publicly accessible repository of evidence-based guideline content which can be used to underpin clinical decision support and quality measure development. His current focus is the development of shareable, evidence-based clinical decision support for topics related to ambulatory pediatrics including immunizations, childhood obesity, immigrant health, ADHD, and lead screening and management. He has given numerous research presentations about his ongoing investigative work within these clinical areas at local, national, and international conferences.
