- Develop a strategy to find mentors to guide your career
- Focus on creating a healthy work/life balance
Dr. Huang offers customized leadership, talent, and organizational development in higher education and organizations. She has worked in postsecondary education for over twenty years in diversity, equity, and inclusion. At the University of Maryland, she served as Senior Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion and led trainings on creating an inclusive climate; implicit bias; the impostor syndrome; and gender equity for STEM faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students. As Executive Director of the National Postdoctoral Association, Dr. Huang advocated for the needs of the postdoctoral community to academia, government, industry, and funding agencies. She served on the advisory board for the National Science Foundation's, "Trajectories into Early Career Research," and on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine planning committee for the "Characteristics of Effective Mentoring Relationships Among STEM Faculty and Students" workshop.
