The Division of Neurosurgery at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia specializes in the surgical treatment of brain tumors, epilepsy, cervical spinal trauma, and other conditions affecting the brain and spine such as cerebral palsy.

On the research front, investigators in the Division use their in-depth knowledge and expertise to actively participate in the multi-institutional Childhood Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC), a collaborative research program working to find cures and improve treatments for children diagnosed with brain tumors.

The Division of Neurosurgery also has a large clinical research program, with an emphasis on pediatric head injuries.
