The Affordable Care Act
Last updated on Jun 17, 2020 in CAR Autism Roadmap™
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the healthcare reform law that was passed in 2010. These changes to the health care system are designed to make affordable healthcare insurance available to more people in the United States. This law sets up a Healthcare Marketplace where individuals can select and buy health insurance. This law also expands Medicaid eligibility and coverage, as well as calls for changes to the healthcare delivery system reforms that will limit healthcare costs and improve the quality of healthcare.
