How Do I Keep Track of My Child's Early Intervention Services?

Keeping up with a young child, let alone a young child with a developmental delay, is no easy task. When you add therapies, new people, and learning about the Early Intervention system, it is no wonder that many parents feel overwhelmed. In the infant/toddler Early Intervention system, your family is provided a Service Coordinator who will help you understand and coordinate services for your child. Additionally, individual therapists should communicate with you on a regular basis and explain what they are doing with your child, the importance of what they are doing, and ways you can work with your child when the therapist is not there to enforce the skills being taught by the therapist. Some Early Intervention agencies require therapists to complete a form that tells the family what the therapist is working on.
