Call for Applications: CHOP Research Travel Award

The Office of Academic Training and Outreach Programs (ATOP) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the CHOP Research Travel Award Program. This pilot travel award program intends to enable researchers-in-training to attend virtual or in-person scientific conferences or technical training programs to enhance their research training experience.

Award Details

ATOP will reimburse up to $750.00* to support travel or registration costs for eligible CHOP researchers. *Faculty mentors must match the funding provided by ATOP in support of conference attendance.

Eligibility

Applicants must be active employees in or appointed to a training-oriented position at CHOP. A primary CHOP-based faculty mentor is required. Eligible roles include but are not limited to postdoctoral fellow, physician fellow, graduate student, T32/F32 fellow, research technician, research assistant, research associate, undergraduate research intern, etc.

The applicant must also be an active participant in the conference or training experience as demonstrated by either:
(1) presenting a poster or giving an oral presentation at a scientific conference OR
(2) serving as an active participant in a non-degree granting, scientifically relevant technical/education program or course.

Proof of participation is required after notification of the award.
