Call for Application: 2022 HSRA Training with CE Credits
Who: The Children's Hospital Association (CHA) is an accredited provider of continuing education (CE). Its Health Services Research Academy (HSRA) educational program helps healthcare professionals develop skills needed to use healthcare data for clinical improvement. As CHA's PHIS data contributing center, CHOP is offered limited free seats to access HSRA Tier-1 online module training in 2022.
What: The HSR Academy offers year-long online program that includes over 20 interactive learning lessons (each 15-30 minutes) focusing in 4 areas: fundamentals of health services research, planning a health services research project, exploring data and presenting results. These lessons include introductions to large administrative datasets, guidance on developing a research analytic plan, propensity methods, and creating tables and figures for posters and manuscripts.
Participants completing the lessons could receive up to 11.5 CE credits.
Where: Fifteen CHOP members could enroll to take the 2022 HSRA free courses. Successful applicants selected through internal review will have access to online lessons until December 31, 2022, and are expected to complete the lessons in this timeframe.
Why: The opportunities to leverage existing health data to transform healthcare delivery are monumental. However, the supply of healthcare professionals equipped to use such health data for meaningful clinical change is insufficient. CHOP participants of the Health Services Research Academy's 2021 program have found the virtual training and information helpful in assisting their research and developing the skills needed to use healthcare data.
Submit your application by February 20, 2022.
