Learn about five CHOP projects funded by the Eagles Autism Foundation that aim to improve treatment for autism spectrum disorders.

Conversations are important for getting along in everyday life, but we don't really know what makes them successful. This study aims to find out what factors help make conversations better.

Dr. Nissley-Tsiopinis aims to improve the quality and implementation of interventions for children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other children/teens with executive functioning deficits, and to improve access to these interventions for diverse populations.

Dr. Gandal investigates the genetic contributions to typical human brain development and neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. His multidisciplinary research program integrates genetics with functional genomic profiling in the human brain, along with bioinformatics and computational biology.

The Anderson Lab studies forebrain development in relation to neuropsychiatric illness (e.g., autism, epilepsy, and schizophrenia), working with transgenic stem cells to discover how mitochondrial function influences schizophrenia risk. They aim to develop a novel prevention or treatment strategy.
