Valeria Chavez is a fourth year PhD candidate in the Microbiology, Virology, and Parasitology program at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Hunter College of the City University of New York. Her hobbies include going on leisure walks around Philadelphia, exploring new restaurants, and traveling, especially to Peru.
