Dr. Forti's research is focused on the development of novel noninvasive neuromonitoring tools to ascertain the mechanisms of neurological injury. He's an expert in the development of diffuse optical methods. He is currently developing new methods to detect cerebral edema and cerebral physiological impairments after pediatric traumatic brain injury, a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children.
