Virtual Event

The Office of Immigration and Visa Services and iSTEM invites you to a virtual brown bag lunch with Immigration Community Ambassador, Anush Sridharan, PhD.

Dr. Sridharan is a research scientist in the Department of Radiology at CHOP. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Drexel University through a collaborative clinical research project in ultrasound imaging with Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to this, he completed his MS at Drexel University in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He grew up in East Africa and completed his undergraduate education in India.

Always with a keen interest in applying engineering concepts in the medical field, as a graduate student Dr. Sridharan developed image processing algorithms for improving visualization of plaque using ultrasound imaging. This project led to his foray into the world of ultrasound imaging and specifically ultrasound contrast agents. He is interested in exploring the use of these novel and robust agents for diagnostic and therapeutic application in pediatrics. His current focus is both on preclinical and clinical research studies for use of these agents. His areas of interest include characterization of fetal and neonatal brain injury, 3D ultrasound of the kidney, feature extraction, image segmentation, and ultrasound sonoporation.

Join us for a great opportunity to meet one of CHOP's iSTEM Immigration Community Ambassadors in an informal setting.
