Submit Nominations for the 2024 Outstanding Research Staff Awards

Nominations are open for the 2024 Outstanding Research Staff Awards. Current research staff who have been employed at CHOP for more than one year, are on the Research Institute Technical Career Ladder, and who provide exemplary support in the conduct of research and training are eligible. 

Senior leadership will recognize all nominees and winners at a luncheon on Research Staff Recognition Day, May 29, 2024.

Nomination forms are due by 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024.

Any CHOP-based faculty member, postdoctoral fellow, physician fellow, or instructor who works directly with the nominee may submit a nomination form. Nominators may submit only one candidate.

Nominees should be nominated by their level of experience and one area of recognition.

Level of Experience:

• Junior (less than five years’ experience)
• Post-PhD (five or more years’ experience)
• Lab management (regardless of job title and years of experience).

Area of Recognition (see Outstanding Research Staff Award Criteria for guidance):

• Scientific Merit/Excellence in Research
• Leadership in Research
• Commitment to Diversity
• Commitment to Training.

Nominations will be evaluated by the strength of the submission materials. Three outstanding research staff members will be chosen for this award; however, reviewers may elect to choose more than one winner in each experience/recognition category.
