The Recruitment Enhancement Core (REC) invites you to include your research projects in the Research Discovery Finder (RDF). The RDF showcases breakthrough research projects at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and CHOP Research Institute, raising visibility of the research as well as helping recruit subjects.

The REC encourages investigators and study coordinators to include their studies in this central hub of leading-edge research studies that contains more than 200 studies and is quickly growing. Divisions and departments interested in showing their studies can work with investigators to get their full study portfolio up.

Adding your study to the RDF is easy:

  • Visit the Research Discovery Finder to submit a request to through the RDF Administration application or contact participantrecruitme@chop.edu
  • The REC can help you set up user access to the application if you have not used it before.
  • The application will generate a PDF document to submit to the IRB for approval.

Some benefits of including your study in the RDF include:

  • Improved searchability that enables patients and families to easily find open studies to participate in and help create healthier futures for children.
  • Families and patients can use the RDF to search for studies based on related conditions, exact age, categories such as “healthy controls,” study phase, and study location such as “remote only.”
  • Studies in the RDF database link to principal investigators’ profiles and related divisions and departments for sharing with funders and outside investigators.
  • Exempt studies that are actively recruiting can also be included.
  • The REC actively directs patients and families to the RDF through signage and community events.
