The Pathology Core will be moving to a new space in CTRB-A Level. In preparation for the move we will be closing the lab on Thursday, October 29th and Friday, October 30th, in order to pack and prepare instruments for the move. We are scheduled to move on Monday, November 2nd. We expect it to take us a couple of days to unpack and get set up in our new space. We are planning on being open again for sample drop offs and submissions on Thursday November 5th.

Where to find us

After November 2nd, we will be in CTRB-A Level Rooms A410 (wet bench space) and A340 (imaging scope, scanning, etc). To access the A level of CTRB, users will need to use the service elevators that are located in the back of the lobby to the left of the security desk. CHOP users will need to make sure that their ID badges are activated for the card reader in these elevators. UPENN users will need to register for a CHOP token, and the CHOP token can be activated for these elevators as well. To check and/or activate your ID or token users can contact the core director Dan Martinez. State your full name, institution, and that you need access to the Pathology Core.

There are card readers to access the outside doors to the wet bench lab A410, where you will need to go for sample drop offs or pickups. This is also where you will find us most of the time! The card readers will be disabled during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday from 8am to 6pm. Please contact us ahead of time if you need to stop by outside or those hours. The imaging scope as well as the multiheaded scope and scanning will be across the hall in room A340. The card reader for this suite will be disabled during those times as well.
