Our Faculty Spotlight, Guilherme Nader, PhD, studies how cells cope with stress in dense microenvironments, specifically in cancerous tumors.

The Bassiri Lab studies the ways in which the immunometabolic features of lymphocytes are altered within solid tumor environments, and how modulating these features may enhance anti-tumor immunity.

Dr. Franco researches the molecular basis of the differences between pediatric and adult onset thyroid cancer. She aims to understand how the tumor microenvironment impacts disease progression and response to therapy.

Dr. Tan uses experimental and computational approaches to study normal development and cancer. His laboratory is using the integrative approach to dissect the gene regulatory networks controlling embryonic hematopoiesis, T cell differentiation, and oncogenesis. He is also developing computational algorithms for constructing models of transcriptional regulatory and signaling networks by integrating multi-dimensional genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic datasets.
