Request Computer Accessories Purchasing

Use the "Submit A Request" button to the left to use our Research Device & Application Request System. "How do I request this service?" to ensure correct routing of your request.

We provide remote or on-site technical support of computer accessories deployed throughout the Research Institute, which also includes the coordinating of repairs of faulty and defective hardware. A variety of computer related accessories are available to complement your PC or Mac.

Examples of commonly ordered accessories:

  • HP 24 inch 1080p IPS LED Monitor (1FH47A8)
  • CHOP’s standard HP 24” IPS Panel LED Backlight Anti-glare BrightView Panel 16:9 1920 x 1080 (1080P), supports inputs for VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Height / Tilt / Swivel and Pivot adjustable.
  • LG External USB DVD-RW DL Burner
  • LG DVD-RW DL 8X External USB CD-ROM
  • HP Slim USB Keyboard and Mouse
  • HP Optical USB Mouse
  • HP Slim USB Keyboard

Before you request this service, please know your research cost center and activity number before submitting your order.

Call the CHOP IS Support Center

Contact the CHOP IS Support Center at ext. 4-HELP (4-4357) or (215) 590-4357. Using the following information will help the Support Center person better direct your request:

  • Which IS Area/Service do you need assistance from? 'Research IS"
  • What is the specific type of service you need assistance with?"RIS End User Technology Services"
  • Assignment Group "Research ARC" or "Research CTRB" or "Research RCPR" depending on your location
  • Provide a description of the support you are requesting "Support for Research Device & Application Request System and provide full details of computer purchase"

Use the CHOP IS Support Center Portal (Service Now)

  1. Click the "Submit A Request" button to the left and go to Service Now
  2. Login with your CHOP username and password
  3. Select "Order Something" from top left 3 bar menu
  4. Select "IT Services"
  5. Select "Ad Hoc"
  6. Which IS Area/Service do you need assistance from? Add 'Research IS"
  7. What is the specific type of service you need assistance with? Add "RIS End User Technology Services"
  8. Assignment Group "Research ARC" or "Research CTRB" or "Research RCPR" depending on your location
  9. Short Description "My Question ..."
  10. Description "Support for Research Device & Application Request System and provide full details of computer purchase"
  11. Add screenshots using the "Add Attachments" if useful in resolving your request
  12. Select the "Order Now" button
  13. Copy reference number for your records.
