Code 42 Cloud PC Backup Service

For large or shared files FileShare services are great, but what about your laptop or pc? If it crashes will you be able to quickly recover everything in your user profile documents, music, pictures, downloads, and even the library files that have all of your settings? Code42 will allow you to quickly restore those files to another computer, which can add up to hours saved in your productivity.

Important Notes:

  • Please be aware that Applications will not be backed up
  • Backups run every 15 minutes
  • Files you delete on your PC will only be available for 90 days, then they too are deleted

Contact the CHOP IS Support Center at ext. 4-HELP (4-4357) or (215) 590-4357. Using the following information will help the Support Center person better direct your request:

  • Which IS Area/Service do you need assistance from? 'Research IS"
  • What is the specific type of service you need assistance with? "RIS End-User Technology Services"
  • Assignment Group "Research ARC" or "Research CTRB" or "Research RCPR" depending on your location
  • Provide a description of the support you are requesting "Support for Computer Hardware Disposal" and provide full details of the Code42 - PC User Data Recovery instance

Use the CHOP IS Support Center Portal (Service Now)

  1. Click the "Submit A Request" button to the left and go to Service Now
  2. Login with your CHOP username and password
  3. Select "Order Something" from top left 3 bar menu
  4. Select "IT Services"
  5. Select "Ad Hoc"
  6. Which IS Area/Service do you need assistance from? Add 'Research IS"
  7. What is the specific type of service you need assistance with? Add "RIS End-User Technology Services"
  8. Assignment Group "Research ARC" or "Research CTRB" or "Research RCPR" depending on your location
  9. Short Description "My Question ..."
  10. Description " Code42 - PC User Data Recovery - Provide full details of Code42 issue"
  11. Select the "Order Now" button
  12. Copy reference number for your records
