Clinicaltrials.gov is a public database of federally and privately funded clinical research studies. Federal regulations, funding awards, or journal publication requirements may mandate registration and results reporting of a sponsor’s clinical research study.

The Office of Research Compliance serves as the institutional Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS) administrator for Clinicaltrials.gov.
