Dr. Berg is a resuscitation scientist with extensive clinical and preclinical translational laboratory experience in the areas of cardiac arrest, VF, defibrillation, and personalized physiologic-directed CPR. He has substantial expertise in conducting multicenter observational and interventional trials.

Dr. Sutton is an internationally recognized expert in pediatric cardiac arrest. His career focus is on developing and evaluating novel techniques and devices to improve the care delivered during in-hospital resuscitation attempts.

Dr. Ortiz-Gonzalez is a physician-scientist specializing in pediatric neurogenetics. Her clinical work focuses on finding a unifying genetic diagnosis for children with rare neurodevelopmental disorders. Her research is informed by her patients and focuses on understanding how genetic changes, in particular those affecting mitochondrial function, cause disease so we can develop better treatments for these children in the future.

The research interests of Dr. Downes focus on antimicrobial clinical pharmacology and pharmacoepidemiology in children with a goal to identify novel approaches to optimize efficacy, minimize toxicity, and limit antimicrobial resistance from antibiotics.

Dr. Romberg investigates the regulatory mechanisms enabling our immune systems to fight infections without injuring ourselves. He is particularly interested in the immune system of patients with primary immunodeficiency who are susceptible to both life-threatening infections and autoimmune diseases. Greater insights into these rare diseases may enable rationale development of targeted therapies for more common diseases with an immunologic basis.

Dr. Jolley's research lab is focused on visualizing and quantifying congenitally abnormal heart structures using 3D imaging with the driving goal of informing surgical and interventional planning in children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Weiss focuses on trainee assessment in the clinical learning environment, and on drivers of wellness and burnout in the workplace. She has a particular interest in understanding the intersection between trainee and educator identity and its impact on learners' personal and professional success.

Dr. De Leon-Crutchlow’s translational research program focuses on examining the pathophysiology of disorders of insulin regulation, identifying novel therapeutic targets, and developing new therapies for these conditions. The program approach includes patient-oriented research and bench research employing mouse models and primary islet cultures.

Dr. Spatz is an internationally recognized researcher, clinician, and educator in the field of human milk and breastfeeding, particularly in vulnerable populations. Her research directly changes clinical practice to improve human milk and breastfeeding outcomes in the United States and globally.
