Jane E. Minturn, MD, PhD
Jane E. Minturn

Dr. Minturn's primary clinical and research focus is the development of early-phase clinical trials targeting the molecular drivers of brain/spinal cord tumors. She also focuses on late effects of tumor-directed therapies on the developing nervous system and neurocognitive effects of treatment.

C. Alix Timko, PhD
C. Alix Timko

Dr. Timko is a psychologist and researcher focused on understanding the development and maintenance of eating disorders in adolescents. Currently, her interest is in the neurobiology of anorexia, the role of neurocognition in eating disorder maintenance, sex differences in eating disorders, and the development of new treatments for youth with eating disorders.

Hannah-Lise Tirado Schofield, PhD, ABPP-CN
Hannah-Lise Tirado Schofield

Dr. Schofield's research focuses on neurocognitive outcomes of oncology treatment. Her areas of interest are acute and long-term neurotoxicities and cognitive sequelae of cellular therapy, including hematopoietic stem cell transplant and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy.

Elizabeth Walshe, PhD
Elizabeth A. Walshe

Dr. Walshe's research uses cognitive, neuropsychological, and neuroscientific techniques to understand higher-level cognitive control over the complex and high-risk motor task of driving. In particular, Dr. Walshe investigates how cognitive development in young drivers may impact driver safety.

Maria G. Vogiatzi, MD
Maria G. Vogiatzi

Dr. Vogiatzi's research goals are to improve the health of children with gonadal disorders and understand the role of glucocorticoids, androgens, and sex steroids in health and disease.

vogiatzim [at] chop.edu
Erum A. Hartung, MD, MTR
Erum A. Hartung

Dr. Hartung's clinical and translational research program focuses on autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease and other genetic kidney diseases, development of new kidney and liver imaging biomarkers, and neurocognitive outcomes in children with chronic kidney disease.

Elizabeth Lowenthal, MD, MSCE
Elizabeth Lowenthal Headshot

Dr. Lowenthal's work is focused on addressing health priorities for children in resource-limited settings. In addition to research projects she serves as research director for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Global Health Center, supporting junior researchers (and senior researchers newly working in international settings) to develop projects addressing other health priorities for children in resource-limited settings.
