Dr. Phillips' research interests involve learning health systems and the intersection of technology and clinical informatics with clinical research for pediatric oncology patients. His current focus is on developing novel automated methods to identify cancer patients with malnutrition and optimizing their nutritional support. He has a secondary interest in quality improvement research for supportive care in pediatric oncology.
Dr. Forrest's research focuses on developing novel ways of conducting multi-center pediatric applied clinical research, child health services and outcomes research, pediatric person-reported outcome measure development and application, life course health science, learning health systems science, and policies and programs that promote the lifelong health of children. He has a particular interest in the concept and measurement of health.
Dr. Tsui's research interests include clinical informatics, natural language processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, population informatics, data science, signal processing, mobile healthcare, and large real-time clinical production systems. He's published over 100 peer-reviewed papers.
Dr. Reid's main project is RADIAL, an adaptive learning education platform that houses filtered knowledge around all subspecialties and delivers a customized curriculum to the end-user using deep learning algorithms.
Dr. Bailey’s research centers on the development of learning health systems. This endeavor includes the creation of methods to share data across hospitals, recognize the clinical implications of information gathered from different sources, and provide support to clinicians to use this information more effectively.
Dr. Huang works on methodology development to understand the dynamics of disease activities and inform health management using multivariate longitudinal health data. She also works on data integration in Clinical Research Networks.
Dr. Rasooly's research aims to understand diagnostic decision making and leverage the electronic health record to support diagnostic excellence. Her current work focuses on recognition of child abuse, evaluating decision making in simulation, and improving diagnostic performance at CHOP.
Dr. Bonafide’s research focus is on developing, evaluating, and implementing interventions at the intersection of patient safety and technological innovation, and measuring the impacts of these interventions on children and families. His research includes methods drawn from clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical informatics, systems engineering, and implementation science.
Dr. Joffe's research addresses three areas. First, he studies leadership in biomedical science, including governance within learning healthcare systems and the role of the principal investigator in multicenter trials. Second, he studies the ethical questions raised by genomic sequencing in medicine and science. Finally, he studies the ethics of human subjects research, including informed consent and clinical research design.
Dr. Prosser's research focuses are the development and rehabilitation of movement in children, particularly those with neurological impairments. This includes the investigation of the development of impaired movement, the study of novel motor rehabilitation interventions in children, and the interaction between the processes of neuroplasticity and neuromaturation in sensorimotor systems.
