Dr. Rice’s research interests are in the field of environmental science and premature lung disease. She is the recipient of an NIH K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development award to study the effects of indoor air pollution on respiratory outcomes in preterm infants.
Dr. McGrath-Morrow is associate chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and leader of the Post-preemie Lung Disease Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research seeks to link early life events with adult lung health and biomarker discovery for future trials.
Dr. Fox leads the Chronic Lung Disease Frontier Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His area of research is in neonatal pulmonary function, mechanical ventilation, and liquid ventilation.
Dr. Avitabile works to understand the impact of musculoskeletal deficits on exercise performance in children with complex heart and lung diseases. She also participates in multi-centered clinical trials to advance the care of children with pediatric pulmonary hypertension.
