Regina Myers, MD
Regina Myers

Dr. Myers aims to improve outcomes for children and young adults receiving cellular immunotherapies for high-risk hematologic toxicities. Her current research is focused on studying toxicities of CAR T-cell therapies through a combination of clinical epidemiologic and translational research methods.

Evan Weber, PhD
Evan W. Weber

Dr. Weber is developing approaches to enhance CAR-T cell therapies for pediatric cancer by reprogramming T cells with improved durability and exhaustion resistance. His work will uncover molecular mechanisms that promote CAR-T cell exhaustion and identify new targets for therapeutic intervention.

E-mail:
weberew [at] chop.edu
Hamid Bassiri, MD, PhD
Hamid Bassiri

Dr. Bassiri studies the ways in which the immunometabolic features of lymphocytes are altered within solid tumor environments, and how modulating these features may enhance anti-tumor immunity.

E-mail:
bassiri [at] chop.edu
Stephan A. Grupp, MD, PhD
Stephan A. Grupp

Dr. Grupp develops and conducts preclinical testing of engineered cell therapies and signal transduction inhibitors in leukemia, in pediatric immunotherapy trials, and in the manufacture and use of cellular therapeutics in preclinical, good manufacturing practices, and clinical trial settings. Dr. Grupp leads most CTL019 (CD19 CAR) clinical trials, and his colleagues are the global leaders in highly active CAR T cell therapy.

E-mail:

John M. Maris, MD
John M. Maris

Dr. Maris investigates the molecular and genetic mechanisms contributing to the development and progression of neuroblastoma, a common childhood cancer. He also aims to develop new molecular diagnostic tests and less toxic, targeted therapies to treat relapsed or refractory neuroblastoma, including a major effort in immunotherapy discovery and development.

E-mail:

Stephan Kadauke, MD, PhD
Stephan Kadauke

Dr. Kadauke is the associate director of the Cell and Gene Therapy Laboratory at CHOP and the medical director of the Cell and Gene Therapy Informatics team. His research focuses on developing novel ways to manufacture cell therapies with the goal of accelerating and broadening patient access to these life-saving therapies.

E-mail:
kadaukes [at] chop.edu
Theodore Laetsch, MD
Theodore W. Laetsch

Dr. Laetsch is a pediatric oncologist who provides clinical care and conducts research with the overarching goal of improving treatment options for children with difficult to treat cancers.

E-mail:
laetscht [at] chop.edu
Thomas De Raedt, PhD
Thomas De Raedt

Dr. De Raedt researches pediatric high grade glioma development and aims to understand the involvement of crucial pathways. He investigates pathway interaction, and explores ways to develop therapies through analyzing human tumors, performing cellular studies, and developing accurate mouse models. This allows Dr. De Raedt and his team to perform novel pre-clinical studies that can lead to clinical trials.
