Dr. Forrest's research focuses on developing novel ways of conducting multi-center pediatric applied clinical research, child health services and outcomes research, pediatric person-reported outcome measure development and application, life course health science, learning health systems science, and policies and programs that promote the lifelong health of children. He has a particular interest in the concept and measurement of health.

Dr. Miller conducts developmentally informed behavioral research to examine the impact of parent-youth communication and decision making on health-related behaviors and outcomes. She aims to conduct research that facilitates youth involvement and empowerment in health-related decision making and enhances parent-youth-provider relationships.

Dr. Silber is the director of the Center for Outcomes Research at CHOP, and is an internationally known authority on outcomes measurement and severity adjustment for both adult and pediatric applications.

Dr. Balis's research focuses on the clinical pharmacology of anticancer drugs, new drug development, and clinical trial design and endpoints. He studies the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anticancer drugs and has applied pharmacological principles to clinical trial design and clinical drug development. He is developing new biomarkers to serve as surrogate endpoints of drug toxicity or efficacy in clinical trials.

Dr. Hakonarson is director of the Center for Applied Genomics and professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He leads a $40 million commitment from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to genomically characterize approximately 100,000 children, an initiative that has gained nationwide attention in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time Magazine, Nature, and Science.

Dr. Zorc's work focuses on the intersection of interventional clinical research, quality improvement (QI), and clinical informatics. He has formal certification in epidemiology, QI methodology, and clinical informatics, and has participated in multi-center research networks, guideline and improvement collaboratives, and electronic health record development locally and nationally.

Dr. Zee's statistical methods research includes topics in survival analysis, measurement error, observational data methods, and machine learning. Her clinical research is focused on kidney disease, specifically in clinical and pathology markers of glomerular and chronic kidney disease progression.

Dr. Shaw is an emergency medicine physician, clinical epidemiologist, and national leader in the fields of pediatric emergency medicine and quality and patient safety. She is most noted for her research in the diagnosis and management of acute pediatric illness and injuries, most notably UTI,
dehydration, and bronchiolitis.

Dr. Getz develops and applies advanced methods to enable epidemiologic research that aims to optimize the treatment and supportive care of children with cancer by balancing the therapeutic benefits and toxicity risks with an emphasis in cardio-oncology.
