Results for Adolescent Depression

Dr. Young is a clinical psychologist whose research focuses on the identification, prevention, and treatment of adolescent depression. Her scholarship is driven by the need to understand what factors predispose youth to depression and the desire to develop, study, and disseminate interventions to help address the unmet needs of youth with mental health problems.

Dr. Jones is a psychological scientist with interests that lie at the intersection of developmental psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, psychiatry, and pediatrics. His research focuses on the risk, identification, and prevention of adolescent depression and suicide.

Dr. Taylor's translational and clinical research program focuses on preventing disorders like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder with psychotic features. He is particularly interested in the roles that oxidative stress and neuroinflammation play in psychosis symptom progression in youth.

Dr. Fein conducts youth violence prevention research and has been the principal investigator (PI) or co-investigator of numerous federally funded projects addressing the youth violence epidemic through mixed-methods research, particularly community-based, participatory research (CBPR). He is currently the PI for a NICHD-funded study looking at the impact of a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) prevention program on assault-injured youth and their families.
