Program in Advanced Imaging Research
The Program in Advanced Imaging Research (PAIR) recognizes precise medical imaging as essential to translational and clinical research into the central nervous system and body. PAIR provides investigators with a robust suite of methodologies and tools, and extensive expertise in advanced multimodal medical imaging and electrophysiology:
- A research data platform that streamlines data ingestion and curation, automating processing, and machine learning
- Magnetoencephalography, including a dedicated, unique 123-channel system for infants
- Novel optically pumped magnetometry (wearable MEG technology)
- 3T magnetic resonance imaging with high-performance features and specifications
PAIR has more than 100 active projects across a diverse range of research groups around CHOP and collaborating partner institutions. It uses fully optimized and state-of-the-art imaging resources (hardware and software), enabling our researchers to propel their work forward. PAIR provides a rigorous research foundation by fostering collaboration across departments, centers, and medical disciplines; encouraging innovation through our advanced technology; and ultimately enabling translation at the clinical level.
