Dr. Miranda-Schaeubinger is a research assistant with an interest in Global Education and Outreach.
Bio
Dr. Miranda-Schaeubinger is passionate about pediatrics and reducing health disparities. In addition to clinical medicine, Monica has worked in research on vector-borne diseases, congenital infections and environmental health in the US, Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico. In her most recent role, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University where she conducted research on the use of echocardiography to predict the onset of Chagas disease cardiomyopathy in a Bolivian cohort, as well as evaluating Chagas disease diagnostics in a maternal cohort in Mexico.
Dr. Miranda-Schaeubinger earned her medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City and holds a MSPH degree in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from Johns Hopkins University.
