Bio

With almost 20 years of experience developing and directing animal care and use programs in the academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, Dr. Stewart is board certified by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) and is a leader in the field of laboratory animal science and biomedical research. His areas of expertise include husbandry and operations, animal biosecurity, facility design and operation, project management, public speaking and training, preclinical studies, drug safety and toxicology research, quality assurance and licensure support for IND and NDA entities, regulatory compliance, translational medicine and transgenic models. He is results oriented with the ability to work in an autonomous and proactive manner, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting challenging deadlines. Dr. Stewart is a team player with the ability to make independent and timely decisions. He is self-motivated with demonstrated leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, and organizational skills. He consistently demonstrates a desire for continuous personal growth and development, while maintaining a nurturing positive environment for his staff.
