Kristen Pidgeon facilitates the administration of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center’s activities in close collaboration with the Center’s directors and associate directors.
Bio
Kristen Pidgeon joined the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center as a project coordinator in 2014 and is now the administrative manager for the Center. She prepares, manages, and reconciles annual budgets; initiates, coordinates, and assembles competitive and non-competitive renewals; enrolls new users; and distributes user satisfaction surveys. She also coordinates the applications process for IDDRC funds, including the New Program Development Award and Alavi-Dabiri Postdoctoral Fellowship Award. Pidgeon organizes of meetings with Center leadership, Core directors and service providers, and advisory committees. She oversees administrative activities for the Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and the Neuroscience Research Affinity Group; performs website maintenance; and coordinates monthly lectures and educational activities including the IDDRC Seminar Series, Neuroscience Chalk Talks, Critical Analysis of Techniques in IDD Research Workshop, and Neuroscience Grants Club.
