Julie Schrey is a Research Technician in the Kurre Laboratory working to elucidate the role of extracellular vesicles secreted from hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in the inflammatory leukemic niche.
Julie Schrey earned her BS in Biology with a concentration in Biotechnology from Albright College in 2020. While at Albright, she pursued research investigating sesquiterpene molecules through computational organic chemistry as well as characterizing a vaccinia virus epidermal growth factor homolog found in ectromelia (mousepox) virus. After spending time working in the pharmaceutical industry, she returned to academic research and currently works as a post-bac Research Technician for the Kurre Laboratory studying extracellular vesicles derived from hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in the inflammatory environment of the leukemic niche.
