Dr. Heather Griffis leads a team of data managers, scientists, and methodologists who work with investigators to merge, clean, and structure data; provide analytic datasets; and apply appropriate methods to various data sources, in order to answer research questions that inform practice and policy.
Bio
Heather Griffis is the director of DBHi’s Data Science and Biostatistics Unit (DSBU). The DSBU is a team of data managers, scientists, and methodologists who work with investigators across the Research Institute to merge, clean, and structure data; provide analytic datasets; and apply appropriate methods to various data sources, in order to answer research questions that inform practice and policy. Previously, she worked with investigators in the PolicyLab at CHOP on a variety of studies, including a statewide home visitation program evaluation, a citywide report on educational outcomes among child welfare involved youth, and a national study of inter-familial violence in military families. She received her PhD and MS in sociology, concentrating in demography and population health.
