Bio
Emma Davis is a research assistant for the Infant Brain Imaging Study (IBIS) at the Center for Autism Research (CAR). The IBIS looks at the relationship between brain development and behavior in infants and children with autism, Down syndrome, or typically developing children.
Before her time at CAR, Davis graduated from Emory University where she double majored in Biology and International Studies. She completed an honors thesis on identifying the translational mechanisms of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Frontotemporal Dementia as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. She spent her free time volunteering at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta where she developed a passion for working with children. Davis plans to pursue an MD, hoping to go into pediatrics and continue to engage in both research and clinical work.
