Dr. Burstein completed advanced combined fellowship training in Pediatric Heart Failure/Transplantation and Exercise Physiology at Children's Hospital of Philadephia.

Her research experience primarily involves the epidemiology and outcomes of cardiovascular disease in children with heart failure and heart transplantation. She is most interested in better understanding the role of safe exercise in children with heart failure and congenital heart disease.
