Cruz is a second year graduate student in the Microbiology, Virology, and Parasitology program at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining the St. Geme Lab, she received her BS from Rowan University, N.J. in Biological Sciences, and MS from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Bacteriology.

Outside of the lab, she enjoys travelling, going on hikes with her dogs, and exploring Philladelphia restaurants.
