Dr. Simpao, a pediatric anesthesiologist and clinical informatician, has a strong track record of innovation and research. He's led projects that use visual analytics and machine learning models to derive insights and predict outcomes using large healthcare data sets.
Bio
Dr. Simpao is the co-director of the Biomedical Informatics Program within the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, the first pediatric anesthesia informatics research group in the United States that consists of a team of anesthesiologist-informaticians, PhD informatics and analytics researchers, data and computer scientists, biostatisticians and research support personnel.
He is also an associate professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine in the University of Pennsylvania.
