Building Community
Our different backgrounds and worldviews inspire innovative solutions and drive unique discoveries that can help improve the lives of children around the world. Some of our initiatives and activities supporting these goals include:
Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and Clinical Affinity Groups (CAG) are open to all CHOP employees, strive to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging while building allyship amongst colleagues. They provide Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) employees opportunities to connect with colleagues representing all perspectives and backgrounds, enabling employees to apply various perspectives and allow for CHOP to successfully advance our mission.
Immigration Community Ambassadors (login required) have gone through a visa and/or permanent residency process with CHOP and can serve as a resource and sound board.
The Research Institute provides support for successful navigation of our postdocs and their transition to the next career stage.
CHOP's Center for Health Equity works to address the impact of healthcare disparities in Philadelphia and beyond. The Center partners with teams in CHOP's Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics and Healthier Together team to continuously improve the health and healthcare of CHOP's patients and those in the surrounding Philadelphia community.
